Sunday Afternoons

This is just a typical Sunday afternoon. Daddy goofing around with all the kids (minus one sleepy baby).
We love having at least ONE day where Zach is home with us ALL DAY.

66 and lovin it!

Friday we had a high of 66. So this meant a quick trip to the park before we had to drop Reagan off at school. It was a half an hour well spent! The kids loved it, and I was so happy to get out of the house and breathe in the fresh air. The weather was PERFECT! There are many things people can criticize about Las Vegas, but mid 60's in December is NOT one of them!

(The littlest little monkey in all these photos is Kyra... she's a regular at our house Monday-Friday... she's been a part of our family since she was 2 months old. We love babysitting her!)

Happy Birthday Miss McKinley!

Happy Birthday McKinley!

Our little McKinley turned 4 last week. Thanks to my sister Rachelle she had a "cake" with candles to blow out. How cute are those cookies!! And NO this wasn't first thing in the morning. McKinley wanted to wear her pj's all day.... so I let her (hey, I do that sometimes). Her cousin Max made her a blanket, which she wont let out of her sight now.

Lincoln (without being encouraged!) made a birthday card and enclosed some money. What a cutie pie!

She is the life of our party... every day! She is SO crazy and we love it. She likes to dance as much as humanly possible. She sings the loudest when she's in the bathroom (mostly original songs and lyrics). She loves to pretend to sleep every time we get in the car and it's dark outside (I fall for it 75% of the time). She talks "Spanish" with Reagan (conversations can last up to 10 minutes). She can't stand her curly hair and asks me to straighten it ALL THE TIME. She makes up the best excuses every night, as to why she can't go to bed. She makes us all laugh so much that it hurts and we love her guts!

Happy Day!

Zach didn't have to work on Saturday (rather... he chose NOT to work) and to hang out with the family! Before we started a house overhaul we made homemade doughnuts! The kids loved cutting them out and loved coating them in cinnamon & sugar or powdered sugar EVEN MORE!!!! We made doughnut holes out of the centers and didn't waste any dough! For sure a REPEAT activity! Thanks Em for the idea!

NO! I did NOT catch him off guard when taking this picture. For some reason he likes to make faces like that almost every time I snap a shot of him! (He's not tired OR stoned either)

Messy helpers! I just love it that they like baking and cooking with me! I've learned to stop caring about the mess, and start enjoying the time we spend making it!

Little Stinker

We got home from a long labor day weekend at Zach's parents house. Zach was bringing in the bags and unloading the van, and I was getting the kids ready for bed. I had bathed Reagan and McKinley and had gotten them ready for bed. Then it was Lincoln's turn. I went to start a load of laundry and all of a sudden Reagan screams and runs over to me! "Mommy McKinley just got in the bath....... AGAIN........... WITH HER JAMMIES ON"!!!! She was totally horrified and shocked... as if she doesn't do things like this all the time. Rather than getting frustrated, I got my camera. I know this happens to many of you out there, and I am NOT alone. Just as you pick up one mess, another one jumps in :)
